In XX/XX/year>, Chime allowed someone to fraudulently open both a credit and debit card in my name. I called customer services three times to close the accounts. After submitting an FTC identity theft report on XX/XX/year>, the third representative I spoke with requested the debit card number and claimed he closed all cards associated with the account. He would not allow me to share the credit card number to verify that it has also been deactivated. He could not confirm that he saw a credit card on my account, simply stating that everything associated with the account was closed. When I asked that additional fraud protection be applied by preventing any further cards from being opened using my personal information, the representative unprofessionally hung up on me, claiming he could help no more.
