CFPB COMPLAINT EQUIFAX Issue : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX : Equifax Information Services LLC Complaint Narrative ( Equifax ) I am disputing the accuracy and source of XXXX public-record information appearing on my Equifax credit file. Equifax is currently publishing multiple XXXX petitions on my credit report that were dismissed by the XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX and should not be reported as active or adverse public records. The petitions were dismissed and never resulted in a discharge or adjudication. XXXX own disclosures identify XXXX XXXX XXXX as XXXX third-party vendor for XXXX public-record data. However, XXXX has provided conflicting written statements, including claims that the data does not exist or can not be located. I am requesting that Equifax : Confirm in writing whether XXXX XXXX XXXX is the source of the XXXX public-record data being reported on my file. Identify which entity furnished each bankruptcy record, including furnish dates. Explain why Equifax continues to publish dismissed XXXX petitions as public-record derogatories. Immediately delete all dismissed bankruptcy entries that can not be verified as accurate and complete. XXXX dismissed petitions violates XXXX duty of maximum possible accuracy under 15 U.S.C. 1681e ( b ) and its duty to conduct a reasonable reinvestigation under 15 U.S.C. 1681i ( a ). I am requesting written confirmation of correction or deletion.
