I am a foreign national and do not have a U.S. Social Security Number. TransUnion has associated an incorrect SSN with my credit file. In order to dispute this error and verify my identity, I submitted my dispute by mail. I provided : 1. A copy of my passport 2. A bank statement 3. Copies of billing statements or loan aggrement for every account listed on my TransUnion credit report 4. My IRS-issued ITIN CP565 letter, confirming that I do not have an SSN and currently use an ITIN instead Despite providing comprehensive documentation that clearly establishes my identity and ownership of all reported accounts, TransUnion repeatedly responded that they were unable to verify my identity and refused to process my dispute. By refusing to manually verify my identity using the extensive documentation provided, TransUnion is effectively blocking my right to dispute inaccurate information under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ).
