On XX/XX/year> my checking account at PNC was closed due to an overdraft balance of approximately {$200.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX, my employer sent my paycheck to the closed account at PNC for an amount of approximately {$4300.00}. I spoke with customer support on XX/XX/XXXX and they informed me that PNC was going to deduct the overdraft balance from the paycheck received and mail me a physical check for the remaining balance. The following Monday, I spoke with PNC customer service to check the status of the check that was going to be mailed, and customer service informed me that the {$4300.00} was actually just going to be sent back to my payroll. I also went into a physical PNC branch in order to figure out what was going to happen due to conflicting info, and they informed me after speaking with their team over the phone that they have no idea whats going to happen with the money, however it posted to the closed account and the funds are being held. I followed up with customer support on the evening of XX/XX/year> and they informed me that I would have to call back Wednesday in order to follow up about how the funds were going to be sent, when they might be sent, and if any amount was going to be deducted. As of right now, I currently have no information as to when the {$4300.00} or so will be returned to me. PNC stated that this process can take anywhere from 7-10 business days and that no timeline can be given as to when I may receive my funds back.
