The issue is with EquiFax and Experian where my social security number and other personal information were removed at some point when I was under XXXX from my credit files by my parents, and now my credit is largely inaccessible with EquiFax and Experian. For Equifax, the fields under personal information for my name, social security number, date of birth, address, phone number, and employment history are blank. Despite me having XXXX lines of credit, which all appear with XXXX, none of my lines of credit appear on my EquiFax file because of the missing personal information. I also get errors trying to freeze/ unfreeze credit online because of this, however after providing all of this personal information over the phone with Equifax they can freeze/unfreeze my credit, and whether my credit is frozen or not is visible to me on my online account. When trying to file a dispute online, I get the error message We are temporarily unable to complete this request. Please try again later. Which has appeared over the last XXXX years Ive tried fixing this. When calling to dispute, Ive been told I have to mail a copy of my social security card and drivers license to the dispute center with instructions to update the fields, and after doing so my information was still not fixed and when calling I was told the mail wasnt received. With Experian, I have the same issue where my social security is not associated with my credit file, and when attempting to create an account online using my social security and personal information I get the following error message We are currently unable to process your request. We have encountered an internal system error. Please note that your order has been canceled. Sorry about the inconvenience. which has appeared at least since I started trying to access my credit and fix my missing personal information in XX/XX/year>. Similarly, I tried mailing copies of my SSN and ID to Experian in XX/XX/year>, and never received a response.
