Every month, I make my payment on time. Per my agreement and what the representative reinuarated any extra payments would be applied to my principal balance if I make the payments online or in person. Upon reviewing my last six months of payments, the extra payment went towards the interest. In some months the entire payment went towards the interest and nothing was applied to the principal. I requested per their policy if they can manually correct this and apply the payment correctly. The representative said that he could not. I am writing with concern because I am afraid that if I voice an issue with their deceptive practices that they will retaliate and try to repossess my vehicle for no reason other than I am voicing concerns about their unfair and deceptive business practices. I only ask of the additional monthly payments could be applied to my principal. I did not get the impression nor the desire for them to correct their mistake and work with me to resolve this issue. The representative said that if he was to make the correct and apply the extra payment to the principal it would put my account in default which would lead to my vehicle being repossessed. The loan is predatory. I am doing my best to manage it and keep my account current.
