I had been issued a XXXX XXXX XXXX card by the CA EDD for unemployment benefits in the summer of XXXX. The last deposit to the account by EDD was for {$810.00} in XX/XX/XXXX. I attempted to use the card in XX/XX/XXXX and found the card had been frozen. When I contacted XXXX XXXX, they said they had detected 6 fraudulent transactions stemming from XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX totaling {$1500.00}. They never informed me of these transactions at the time nor did they inform me that the account had been frozen. Only after I contacted them in XX/XX/XXXX, did they send me a Customer Dispute Form, dated XX/XX/XXXX and requested me to fill it out in order to reclaim the money lost. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX sent me the remainder of the money from the frozen account and paid me on 5 of the 6 fraudulent transactions. They stated the XX/XX/XXXX charge of {$500.00} ( from a XXXX XXXX ATM in XXXX, NY ) would not be paid since I did not report it in a timely manner. Please note that I live in CA and have never been to XXXX, NY. I have called XXXX XXXX once a month since appealing this decision. I reported it the same day I became aware of these fraudulent transactions and the one transaction they are denying took place the same week and in the same location as the transaction they did reimburse me for. In calling XXXX XXXX ( in XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and XXXX ) every representative I have spoken with told me that they were not allowed to provide me with their last names. I have sent 3 e-mails into XXXX XXXX detailing all the events and dates of this case and have been repeatedly denied. I have not been able to speak with any decision maker at XXXX XXXX. I was told that the Dispute Department does not take direct calls nor was I able to be transferred to them.
