I am submitting this complaint to request the Consumer Financial Protection Bureaus assistance with a fraud case that has been open with Target Card Services since May and remains unresolved nearly seven months later. Despite my repeated efforts and full compliance with all documentation requests, Target has failed to provide any updates, communication, or resolution. My wallet was stolen, and fraudulent charges were made on my Target account on XX/XX/XXXX. The current disputed amountincluding accumulated interestis {$2600.00}. I promptly submitted all required documentation to Target Card Services, including : XXXXXX/XX/XXXX Case XX/XX/XXXXXXXX Completed Target Fraud Questionnaire Throughout this period, I have contacted Target Card Services approximately twice per month. Each time, I am informed that the case is still pending, needs to be reassigned, or that the submitted documents were not received due to a fax line issue earlier in the process. Despite these reports, I have not received a single proactive communication or substantive update from Target regarding the status or next steps of my case. It is unacceptable that after nearly seven months, with clear evidence and law enforcement documentation provided, this matter remains unresolved and continues to accrue interest charges. I respectfully request the CFPBs support in compelling Target Card Services to : Provide an immediate status update on this fraud investigation. Resolve the disputed charges without further delay. Remove all related interest and fees from my account. Ensure proper communication and documentation handling moving forward. Thank you for your assistance in addressing this ongoing issue.
