I resumed regular mortgage payments and received no indication that anything was different. On XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX hours before my home closing - I discovered a {$36000.00} XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX on my payoff statement. This was the first time I learned a separate subordinate XXXX existed. I had no knowledge of this debt for XXXX years. Under XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, servicers exiting borrowers from COVID forbearance must : Evaluate Payment Deferral XXXX Clearly explain the difference between Payment Deferral ( due at maturity ) and Partial Claim ( due at sale ) Obtain informed consent None of this happened. I have XXXX emails or documentation showing : Payment Deferral was offered as an option The material difference was explained I was told XXXX XXXX would be due at sale I made an informed choice The Money Source ( original servicer ) violated FHA guidelines.
