On XX/XX/year>, I logged into my Capital One Auto Finance account and saw a offer for a settlement. The offer was to forgive 85 % of the remaining balance ; a payment of {$270.00} was required, and the remaining balance of {$15000.00} would be forgiven. I clicked the button to make a one-time payment of the full {$270.00}. The system instructed that it could not process the payment, and I had to call in. I called to make the payment, and the agent informed me that the system was incorrect and that they would not offer me that amount, refusing to assist me with the settlement. I insisted on being transferred to a supervisor and said it was, in fact, correct and offered to email a screenshot of the offer. I emailed the screenshot to XXXX. I logged in and out of the system several times, and the offer was still there. I feel that this is very deceptive on Capital One 's Part ; they refused to take the payment and refused to secure the car from repossession. I was told I would have to wait 3-5 business days for the office of the president to contact me, I was forced to pay a larger amount to secure the vehicle, and I don't feel that is fair or right. I should have been able to accept what was offered to me, not tricked or forced to pay a larger amount.
