I applied and was approved for a credit card. Shortly thereafter, my account was restricted and I was told to submit my bank account information which I did and my account was unblocked. I ended up experiencing fraud on my account. I contacted capital one and the situation was immediately resolved. Upon receiving my new card, I attempted to make a transaction and my account was immediately restricted. Once again I was asked for bank statements to confirm my identity for a second time. I submitted bank statements from the same bank I submitted from previously and was told I couldnt be verified. I was told my income couldnt be verified. It should be noted that my yearly income has remained consistent but my month to month fluctuates. Given the fact that I previously submitted and passed verification not even three months prior, I would like for capital one to immediately remove the restriction from my account and allow access to my credit limit. I have incurred an inquiry which will affect me for the next two years. Its not reasonable to expect for bank statements to be the go to form every time there is an identity concern on my account and to experience an account restriction for almost a week while undergoing consistent verification every time I use my card.
