Consumer Narrative
I am reporting an inaccurate, illegally re-aged, and unverified XXXX XXXX tradeline that is currently being furnished by XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX in violation of multiple sections of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). The account originated in XXXX, but all three bureaus are reporting it as an active and current collection in XXXX, despite the fact that the reporting period legally expired in XXXX. XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX are reporting contradictory and impossible information : The account shows Date Opened : XX/XX/XXXX, which establishes the Date of First Delinquency occurred in XXXX. The XXXX reporting limit under FCRA 605 ( a ) ended in XXXX. All three bureaus are showing new monthly collection notations in XXXX and XXXX, which is clear evidence of illegal re-aging. XXXX shows the account as Closed but simultaneously reports active collection status, past-due amounts, and monthly C collection codes for XXXX. A closed XXXX account can not legally be updated as a current past-due collection in XXXX. XXXX lists XXXX Updated : XX/XX/XXXX even though neither XXXX nor Credit Control is reporting anything. This means XXXX is internally refreshing and auto-updating an obsolete, unverified tradeline. XXXX reports the account as Open Account while also listing Date Closed : XX/XX/XXXX, which is contradictory and impossible. A XXXX debt can not be open until XXXX. XXXX lists an estimated removal of XX/XX/XXXX, which is 16 years after the original delinquency and 9 years past the legal reporting limit. This is illegal re-aging. XXXX shows the account updated as recently as XX/XX/XXXX, which is impossibly recent for a XXXX delinquency and suggests the bureaus are generating their own negative updates without a valid furnisher. XXXX is reporting a completely false and impossible Date of First Delinquency of XX/XX/XXXX, even though the account was opened in XX/XX/XXXX. This is clear, textbook illegal re-aging, as the XXXX can not legally occur XXXX years after the account began. This fabricated XXXX is being used by XXXX to justify reporting the account through XXXX and extending the removal date far past the legal XXXX limit. This is one of the most serious violations of FCRA 605 ( a ) and 607 ( b ), and is causing active harm during a mortgage process. I am requesting immediate deletion. XXXX lists this as my Oldest Account with an opened date of XX/XX/XXXX, which further confirms the Date of First Delinquency occurred in XXXX and that this tradeline is legally obsolete. Despite this, XXXX continues to report new collection activity into XXXX. This directly violates FCRA 605 ( a ) and constitutes illegal re-aging. XXXX also shows inconsistent dates and continued negative reporting far beyond the XXXX period. No party can verify this account : XXXX XXXX directly stated they have no record of this debt and no balance owed. They confirmed it does not exist in their system. XXXX is clearly not furnishing any data. Credit Control LLC ( who is sending emails about resolving the supposed balance ) stated they do not report to any credit bureaus. They can not provide any validation beyond a simple balance statement, and they can not verify ownership, dates, or chain of assignment. If XXXX is not reporting and Credit Control is not reporting, then no data furnisher exists, meaning the bureaus are unlawfully updating this account on their own. Under FCRA 605 ( a ), 607 ( b ), and 611, the bureaus are required to delete this account because : It is too old to report. It is being re-aged with false dates. It is being updated without a furnisher. It is unverified by any party. It contains inaccurate and contradictory information. It is causing ongoing harm while I am in the process of obtaining a mortgage. I am requesting : Immediate deletion of this obsolete and unverified account from XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. Investigation into the illegal re-aging ( e.g., Closed XX/XX/XXXX, Updated XX/XX/XXXX, removal date XXXX, and 20242025 monthly collections ). Confirmation of which entity, if any, is furnishing this data, since both XXXX and Credit Control deny reporting it. Permanent removal of all negative notations related to this account across all three bureaus. Thank you for your assistance. This account must be deleted immediately because it violates federal reporting laws and can not be verified by any party.
