I am filing this complaint against JEFFERSON CAPITAL SYSTEMS LLC for repeated violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) regarding an alleged debt they claim I owe This company has failed to provide proper validation of the alleged debt, continues to report inaccurate information to the credit reporting agencies, and has engaged in unlawful collection practices despite multiple requests for verification. The company has violated : 1692g ( b ) by continuing collection without providing validation. 1692e by using false, deceptive, or misleading representation of a debt. 1692f by using unfair and unconscionable means to collect a debt. 1692d by engaging in harassment or ongoing collection while debt is in dispute. Despite my requests, they have not provided : A copy of any signed contract or agreement showing I owe the original creditor. XXXX. A copy of the assignment or bill of sale proving they legally own or have the right to collect this debt. XXXX. A full itemized accounting of the balance. XXXX. Proof that the collection agency is licensed to collect in my state. XXXX. Verification directly from the original creditor. 5. Failed to provide proof they are legally assigned or own the debt. 6. A receipt of the Auction proceeds sale price that was allegedly credited to the incorrect balance reporting to this account. I have requested the listed documentation, and they have not provided any of this information, they are not legally authorized to collect or report the debt. Because they failed to provide the requested documents, the company is also in violation of : 1681s-2 ( a ) ( 1 ) for furnishing inaccurate information to credit bureaus 1681s-2 ( b ) for failing to investigate the disputed information properly 1681i for failing to verify information when a consumer disputes it I respectfully request the CFPB to : 1. Conduct an investigation into Jefferson Capital Systems LLC Account 2. Require the company to provide full listed validations or immediately remove the debt. XXXX. Request the company to cease all collection activity. XXXX. Require deletion of the account from all credit bureaus. XXXX. Enforce penalties for any proven violations of FDCPA or FCRA.
