Received two checks from employer through Wisely, which need to be authenticated in order to be deposited. On the note the checks were attached to, it clearly indicates that these checks can be deposited or cashed free of charge. One check was successfully deposited, and the other, in the amount of {$1100.00} was returned on XXXX XXXX. Called Wisely for clarification, and was informed that Wisely checks can not be deposited, only cashed, despite the fact that one check had already been successfully deposited. This conflicting information resulted in {$450.00} in overdraft fees from my financial institution as well as {$40.00} from my place of residence, and further calls also resulted in more representatives claiming Wisely checks can not be deposited. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called and spoke to a supervisor who said Wisely checks can, in fact, be deposited, but that the check in question did not exist in their system. After 10 minutes of providing more clarifying information, the supervisor indicated he had found the source of the problem, but hung up before giving any additional information. I need a written statement from the company to confirm their policy, as this discrepancy has resulted in not only the overdraft fees, but also caused me to no longer be able to submit payments to my place of residence and has caused significant issues and headache in the process. This company has repeatedly refused to even do so much as provide a statement on letterhead to let my place of residence know this issue was not my fault, and also refuses to provide a new check, as the previous one can also no longer be cashed due to the initial endorsement for which it had been deposited. "
