My mortgage loan was transferred from XXXX to AmeriHome. I paid my XXXX mortgage payment to XXXX ahead of time and in full before the loan transfer occurred. After the transfer, AmeriHome improperly charged me again for the XXXX payment, causing a duplicate payment. I opened a formal claim with AmeriHome regarding this error. During that claim, I was explicitly told that I should NOT be charged in XXXX and that my next valid payment would be due in XXXX only. Despite this clear confirmation, AmeriHome charged me again, repeating the same billing error. I contacted AmeriHome customer service immediately after this second improper charge. I was told that : The payment is still processing There is nothing they can do at this time I must send an email to customer service and wait a few days for a response They refused to take immediate corrective action, despite the fact that this is a repeat error after prior notice and investigation. Additionally, I am being blocked from disabling automatic payments ( autopay ) through their system, even though these withdrawals are occurring in error. This puts my bank account at continued risk of unauthorized withdrawals. This situation involves : Duplicate unauthorized mortgage withdrawals Failure to properly apply payments during a loan transfer Failure to correct a confirmed billing error Denial of my right to revoke ACH authorization Improper delay under the excuse that the payment is processing I am requesting that the regulator require AmeriHome to : Immediately refund all duplicate payments Correct my account in full Confirm in writing that no further payments will be taken until my legitimate XXXX due date Allow immediate cancellation of autopay Confirm that my credit reporting has not been and will not be negatively affected This is causing financial risk, stress, and loss of trust in the mortgage servicers ability to properly manage my account after transfer.
