Consumer Narrative

Hello, I am writing regarding the recent repossession of my XXXX XXXX. I had called in previously and explained that I was prepared to make the {$2500.00} payment to bring the account current. Unfortunately, I was dealing with personal matters, which caused the delay, but I now have the full funds available to cure the past-due amount. Although I acknowledge the missed payment was my responsibility, I noticed that there records list XX/XX/XXXX as the payment due date. I had made arrangements to move my payment date to the end of the month due to all my XXXX XXXX clear at the end of month with is industry standard in my field. I have made consistent payments on this vehicle for four years, and now, right at the end of my lease, it feels like there was no consideration for customer history or graceeven after I called to make the account current. I was informed that because the lease has ended, the only option now is for me to pay {$28000.00}, and that my vehicle had already been repossessed without a warning or opportunity to resolve the delinquency. Yesterday, XX/XX/XXXX, would have been the full 2 months, but the car was repossessed before reaching that mark. While I understand I fell behind due to a personal matter non income related, I reached out proactively to pay the full past-due amount since I was all over the place due to a family matter and did not realize I had not made the payment being under XXXX with personal matter. Instead, I was told no payment arrangements can be made because the vehicle has been repossessed, and that their are only willing to accept the full payoff since lease has ended. After four years of on-time payments, reaching the end of the lease, and demonstrating a reliable payment history, I am asking for reconsideration. This decision heavily impacts my credit, and reporting a repossession is a choicenot an obligation. Given my history, I am asking whether there is any room for compromise or a more reasonable resolution that reflects my four years as a consistent customer.
