I received an email from Midland Credit Management XXXX XXXX regarding an alleged credit card debt with XXXX XXXX Bank, XXXX, balance {$1000.00}. I do not owe this debt, have never authorized it, and have never had an account with Midland. On XX/XX/year>, I contacted Midland via online chat to dispute this debt and request that they immediately stop all contact with me. The agent, XXXX XXXX, repeatedly asked for my phone number or the MCM account number, but I refused to provide any information, as doing so could be interpreted as acknowledging the debt. I am submitting this complaint because Midland has attempted to collect a debt that is not mine and has continued to contact me despite my formal request to cease communication. I am requesting that CFPB ensure Midland stops all contact and does not report this alleged debt to credit reporting agencies.
