a purchase transaction was agreed to with an individual on social media, a XXXXXXXX XXXX to XXXXXXXX XXXX wire transfer was done. immediately after funds were received in the receivers reported account, both the receiver and the funds vanished. the transaction was reported to both banks, the local police dept as well as police dept in the city the account owner was reported to have been, the FBI, the federal fraud agency. there are several recorded phone conversations with the receiving bank, in one conversation the agent said the funds were still there and they have been frozen, after several other communications i was then told the money was gone and they could no longer speak to me about anything and could only speak to my bank, my bank was told there was nothing else that can be done unless the matter turned into a legal matter with attorney representation. later i discovered the " seller '' posted the same exact ad under another name with a different bank account, same exact wording and sales tactic. I reported this again to bank, nothing further could be done i only agreed to the XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX wire transfer because both being Federal institutions, I would be protected. it was not the case
