On XX/XX/2025, I mailed a written dispute and request for validation to RentDebt Automated Collections ( RDAC ) via USPS Certified Mail ( Tracking # XXXX ). Their letter stated that I had until XX/XX/2025 to dispute the debt. USPS tracking confirms my dispute was mailed before the deadline and was delayed only due to USPS transit issues. Under FDCPA 809 ( b ), a dispute is considered timely based on the date it is mailed, not the date received. Despite my timely dispute, RDAC continued collection activity and reported the debt to the credit bureaus while my dispute was still pending.
