In XX/XX/year> I received a statement from Comenity Bank for my XXXX account. Balance due was {$37.00} due by XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I returned an item to the store and {$18.00} was credited to my account. On XX/XX/XXXX, I made an online payment of {$18.00} which was the balance left due after the return. My next statement showed the credit and the payment, but included a late fee. By the due date of XX/XX/XXXX, my owed balance for the XXXX statement was $ XXXXWhen I called to clear this up, I was told that since I didn't make the minimum payment stated on the bill I incurred a late fee. Minimum payment was {$29.00}, more than I owed at the due date. Subsequent phone calls and letters from me did not result in any satisfactory outcome. I requested a formal dispute review and got the same form letter I had previously received saying they couldn't help me unless I called. I spoke to 5 different customer reps and no one could help me by phone either. I am at my wits end. What can I do? Thank you.
