My checking account was wrongfully closed due to what was explained as the system detecting suspicious activity. However, at the time of closing my account was not in negative standing. I was not given the option to appeal or reopen. Additionally, my investment account remained active. Over a XXXX month span I have called numerous times requesting to have the remaining funds released to me. Each time I have called to speak with a representative I am told that an escalation ticket will be created for check issuance. Upon follow up there is no notation in the system and I am having to start the process again. There has been several issues with the updating of my address to ensure proper check delivery, and the institution is refusing ACH transfer with the card remaining on file. I received emails regarding updates on my investment portfolio however I am unable to access the portfolio due to account restriction. In summary my account closed, funds withheld, and information retained in a system that can no longer access. It has been my experience and understanding upon any account account closures that as long as the account is not in negative standing funds be immediately released.
