I received XXXX emails from Chime Online bank. The first XX/XX/XXXX stated that a login attempt was detected. The XX/XX/XXXX email asked to verify my phone number. The XX/XX/XXXX email was a " Welcome to Chime '' email claiming the card is on the way to me, implying the account was opened. I called Chime at XXXX to inquire whether someone used my personal information including my email address to open an account. They took my email address and did not directly answer my question. I requested to speak to a supervisor and was declined. Either someone stole my identity in an attempt to open an account with Chime fraudulently or Chime itself was conducting shady business practices to acquire new customers. Attached please find the XXXX emails I received from Chime.
