This is my follow-up complaint because Capital One has not given me any path to resolve the verification issue and open a new checking account. My previous 360 Checking account was closed because Capital One stated that my contact information could not be verified. I fully respect the banks security process, but I was never given any opportunity to submit documents for manual identity verification. Every representative told me that my closure was permanent, even when I offered to upload or provide my valid ID, ITIN, passport, and proof of address. I want to clarify that I am not asking Capital One to reopen the closed account. I fully accept that the previous account can not be restored. Instead, I am asking for a chance to complete a proper identity verification review conducted by a human compliance officer, so that I can open a * * new checking account * * as a fully verified customer. I am a lawful resident of XXXX and can provide all required documentation at any time. The issue appears to be a false negative from Capital Ones automated verification system, and I simply need a manual review.
