I am filing this report because I have been the victim of identity theft. On XX/XX/2025, I was served court papers for an account that I did not open and have no connection to. Stating that I owed over $ XXXX. I want to make it absolutely clear that I have never in my life opened, applied for, or maintained any credit accounts of any kind. I have never had a credit card, a loan, or any other form of credit. The account in question was created without my knowledge or consent and is entirely fraudulent. I did not authorize it, I did not benefit from it, and I deny all responsibility for it. I am an innocent victim of identity theft. I provided, via court response and certified service to the creditor and the courts, a copy of my FTC identity theft report, and yet the company did not stop the court collection process and trying to go through arbitration.
