In XXXX, my employer received and garnished my paycheck by XXXX XXXX XXXX for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on behalf of Comenity Bank ( Tiles Shop ). Then yesterday ( XX/XX/XXXX ), my bank account was frozen due to a levy placed by the same lawfirm representing XXXX XXXX, XXXX. The staff at the lawfirm kept telling me that " it's not uncommon for multiple creditors '' to pursue debts at the same time. I said, while I understand what you are saying, it would be very VERY unusual for the exact same amount on the summons that you sent me, to be the EXACT same amount, down to the XXXX on my paystub. It took XXXX calls to XXXX and associates to understand what I had been trying to explain to them, for literally years at this point. Once the manager ( that I had to ask to be escalated to ) realized what I was saying, he agreed and apologized to me and said he needs to send it to their garnishment team to investigate. I asked if there is any way that they can remove the levy from my bank account so that my mortgage check can clear ( among other bills ) and he explained that not only could he NOT do that, it wouldn't be an easy or quick process.... EVEN though they have to now actively investigate what happened here. Further, the garnishment back in XXXX was for {$2500.00}. There is now a XXXX iteration of this garnishment case # XXXX - XXXX through XXXX. I was never issued a XXXX summons, either. This new amount that they are attempting to collect is for over {$3000.00}.
