Consumer Narrative
XX/XX/XXXX I've purchased an order from an online website called XXXX XXXX Their business name and location is XXXX XXXX located in XXXX Wyoming. The order was for a toddler play gate for {$49.00}. Later on that day some charges from out of no where popped up in my notifications. Normally I lock my card but I left it unlocked that day because I was expecting my car company to take out for my car payment. So when I received the notification I thought it was them but when I checked it was XXXX attempts from a company called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. They attempted XXXX times but only got XXXX charges out of it because they put me in overdraft. {$340.00} and {$390.00}. I called chime customer service immediately and was told that they will cancel my card and put a stop payment on it. Afterwards I had a conversation with my sister who told me to look into the website I ordered from to make sure it was legit. I read the reviews and it stated the company was fraudulent and they use customers information and charge their cards after making up purchase. XXXX customer lost over XXXX in unauthorized charges. So I called chime bank and told them what I had discovered. The representative XXXX told me that a stop payment was put on the account, and pending charges will not go through. After charges clear over the weekend the money should be back on the account. When Monday came around, XX/XX/XXXX, there was credit on the account. I called a chime representative and explained everything that happened. They said that I had to dispute it. The next day it was denied. I asked them what was investigated and did they read the reviews. How were they able to reach the merchant when i couldn't. I filed a 2nd time with evidence, denial again. They never sent me information about why I was denied until I tried to file for the 3rd time and they kept hanging up on me and repeatedly putting me in queue with long holding time. So I told them I was going to take it to court and report them. The conclusion they said was based off history and past accounts which makes no sense. It doesn't have anything to do with the unauthorized charges, plus the item I've purchased I'm not getting that as well because they were a scam. A 4th dispute was filed but it wasn't by me, I'm guessing the better business bureau contacted them or something and they did it cover themselves but I'm about to have the account closed when I get paid.
