I recently learned of a legal settlement in a suit filed by CFPB against XXXX. I was never notified by any party of this settlement and believe I am entitled to relief. From XXXX through XXXX, XXXXXXXX XXXXNavient repeatedly applied monthly payments I made to interest and late fees with NONE of it applied to the principal. Payments were late by two weeks but made each month. This was not made known to me for during most of this time. When I was finally informed, I requested that the payment date be changed so payments could be made on time, but they refused. I have two consolidated loans, now serviced by XXXX. After making payments for 25 years, I have paid {$360000.00} in total. Of that, {$270000.00} has been paid in interest, {$9100.00} in penalties, and only {$82000.00} has been applied to principle. This is as bad as owing a loan shark! Please tell me that I am entitle to relief as part of the above settlement.
