On XX/XX/year>, received a call from American Express asking for urgently if I purchased something online within last XXXX min. When I said no, the person said they ordered a XXXX online of {$3200.00} without proper documentation/permit from XXXX. The person asked me if I requested a new American expressed card. I said no. She said the someone using name XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/year> a new card and it was mailed to the address of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX on XX/XX/year>. On XX/XX/year>, whoever has tried to buy a XXXX using your card. The IP address used to purchase the XXXX was XXXX. American Express card # is XXXX. And I have call the XXXX XXXX Police Department to report the fraudulent activity. They offered to connect me to an officer. Office said can you come in to the office, I said no, i live too far. He let ; s set up XXXX XXXX. I tried but didn't wokr. He gave me his email address XXXX - XXXX XXXX and when it got connected. He hung up. When I texted him, he said he will call me back in XXXX min. which he didn't After more than XXXX hours, I realized it was a scamm, called American Express and that card number doesn't exist. I called the XXXX XXXX Police department and asked for XXXX XXXX. Officer said it's a scam. They had legit police department phone # and American express phone #, they come up with fake employee ID # and claim # and so on. Since it got hold of my phone and its info, i am worried that my identify and personal information is compromised. They called me XXXX but addressed me with my husband 's name. So both my husband and my identify is compromised.
