I am submitting this complaint in accordance with my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) ( 15 U.S.C. 1681 et seq. ) to request a REINVESTIGATION regarding the accuracy of the account listed below on my credit report. I believe the information reported is inaccurate, misleading, and unverifiable. I am requesting that the inaccuracies be investigated and corrected, and if they can not be verified, that the entries be removed from my credit file. REQUEST FOR REINVESTIGATION I am formally requesting a reinvestigation of the following account reported by BMW Financial Services : BMW FINANCIAL SERVICES Account Ending : XXXX Date Opened : XX/XX/year> Balance : {$96000.00} EXPLANATION OF DISPUTE : There are errors regarding the reporting of late payments for XX/XX/year> and XX/XX/year>. According to my records and my contract with BMW Financial Services, the account was actually opened on XXXXnot XX/XX/year>, as it is reported on my credit file. Therefore, the reported late payments for XX/XX/year> and XX/XX/year> should never have occurred, as the account was not open during those months. Key Issue : The account opening date is incorrectly reported as XX/XX/year>, whereas the actual opening date is XX/XX/year>. Because of this, the late payments for XXXX and XX/XX/year> are inaccurate and should be removed immediately. REQUEST FOR SPECIFIC INFORMATION : As part of this reinvestigation, I am requesting the following information from BMW Financial Services : The full name of the lead investigator assigned to this case. The name of the department within BMW Financial Services handling this investigation. Contact information ( phone number, email, etc. ) for the lead investigator or department. All supporting documentation that BMW Financial Services has provided as evidence of the accuracy of the reported information, specifically related to the opening date of the account and the late payments for XXXX and XX/XX/year>. These documents are critical for verifying the accuracy of the information that has been reported to the credit bureaus. VIOLATIONS OF THE FCRA : FCRA Section 1681e ( b ) : The failure to maintain accurate information on the credit report violates the accuracy requirement under the FCRA.
