In XX/XX/year>2025, I booked a XXXX through XXXX with XXXX for a confirmed total of {$870.00}. At pickup in XXXX XXXX, XXXX required proof of insurance, but this requirement was not disclosed during booking. Because of the time zone difference, my insurer was closed. When I questioned the total ( which appeared right before inserting my card ), I was told my only alternative was to downgrade to a minivan, which would not meet my familys needs. I signed under pressure based on misrepresented pricing. XXXX charged me {$1500.00}, nearly double my confirmed price. They later issued a {$120.00} courtesy refund, but refused to refund the remaining {$690.00}. I disputed this with Discover and submitted documentation. Discover informed me that XXXX did not respond to their request for information, yet the dispute was still denied.
