I enrolled in national debt relief in XX/XX/XXXX. I have been paying XXXX monthly. To the tune of {$8800.00}. They called me in XXXX to complete my debt relief with a Reach Financial - ( same company when I look them up ) loan stating they will apply my payments made and call all my creditors to negotiate payments further to close my account. I spoke with the lady, had her repeat several things as I did not understand how this worked. I asked if I could cancel AT ANY TIME, she said Yes, but also stated it would not be in my benefit to cancel. As of today- I am not allowed to cancel after being told verbally and is a recorded phone call conversation, that I was allowed to cancel any time. After researching these companies - I have found that this is a huge scam. XXXX is the owner of Reach Financial and that is why they push consumers towards using this company. I also read from XXXX complaints regarding XXXX with this same issue, they leave the highest debt for last so that they can continue to rip you off. And, never calling to settle. Which they did to Me. National debt also waits till your debts are charged off which you already take a hit to your credit to start with. Now enrolled annd on the hook for something that I was anllowed to cancel and now have a XXXX $ loan on my credit even after Ive already paid since XX/XX/XXXX.
