I was sued by XXXX XXXX XXXX for a credit card debt owed to XXXX XXXX. I had no idea XXXX XXXX had sold my account to a collection agency. I was sent XXXX statement from XXXX XXXX XXXX notifying me of my credit card balance with XXXX XXXX. I started making payments from that one and only statement. I never received any other communication from them. I skipped XXXX payment because I wasn't getting statements. I made a payment in XXXX and that same night, I received a knock at my door with a summons/petition. It took a week to get someone on the phone. I was livid. They do not answer the phone. I have made contact with someone XXXX times since XX/XX/XXXX which is when this started. I have settled the case on my end but I have counter sued Rauch Sturm LLP under the FDCPA for the way this was all handled. This was completely unfair and suing people as a scare tactic is not acceptable.
