I am filing a complaint against Probate Advance, LLC regarding unfair, deceptive, and retaliatory business practices connected to an inheritance advance agreement dated XX/XX/2025. Probate Advance repeatedly added new conditions that were not part of the signed contract, including : demanding personal ID and utility bills not required in the agreement, demanding that I contact the estate attorney to list property for sale, demanding that I withdraw my complaint with the New York Attorney General as a condition to release my money. I have recorded calls where their representative XXXX XXXX XXXX ) explicitly states that my {$15000.00} holdback would not be released unless I withdrew my Attorney General complaint. This is retaliation and coercion. Probate Advance issued multiple revised contracts ( at least XXXX versions ) attempting to add obligations I never agreed to after the original binding contract. They also delayed payment for months without legal justification, causing severe financial hardship : My car insurance lapsed due to the delay, My NY registration and plates were suspended, My credit card was closed due to inability to make payments, My XXXX XXXX dropped, I incurred late fees and penalties. After the estate paid Probate Advance in full, they withheld {$17000.00} from my rebate by claiming " legal fees, '' but refused to provide any invoice or documentation, stating the information was " confidential. '' This appears to be a self-justified deduction, unsupported by proof, and contradicts earlier statements made by both representatives.
