At approximately XXXX XXXX CST, I attempted to use my Cash App balance to pay for food at XXXX. My girlfriend had sent me {$25.00} for the purchase, and I had more than enough funds in my account. Upon opening the Cash App, I was : XXXX. Unexpectedly logged out XXXX. Shown an error message : Cash App unavailable XXXX. Then, automatically logged back in without any action on my part I toggled my XXXX XXXX to unlocked so I could paybut the app crashed. When I attempted to pay, the card was declined twice. I reopened the app after closing multiple processes ( Cash App, CFPB submission tabs, etc. ), and the card was still marked lockeddespite my previous action. Cash App could not update or honor my unlock toggle in time. It took a full app reset to finally access my funds and complete the purchase. This caused public embarrassment and delay.
