Beginning on XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted IC System after noticing a collection account reported on my credit report. I provided the debt ID number shown on my credit report and my correct personal information. The representative stated that while they did have an account under my name, the personal information associated with that account did not match my actual date of birth or address. I was told verbally that the account would be removed, but no written confirmation was provided. Shortly after this, my credit score dropped and the collection account continued to appear on my credit report. When I requested written confirmation of the mismatch or documentation that the account does not belong to me, she refused and ended the call.
