American Express is refusing to properly investigate a fraud case involving a {$46000.00} charge to XXXX XXXX. The merchant submitted forged and altered contract pages, as well as fake emails claiming I ignored them. These documents influenced AMEXs decision to deny my dispute. AMEX continues to treat this as a cancellation dispute, but the contract contains no cancellation policy at all and I provided proof of our attempt to cancel in my Sent Mailbox dated XX/XX/XXXX. AMEXs attorney, XXXX XXXX, told me that forgery is not AMEXs problem, even though the forged documents were submitted directly to AMEX. She has since stopped responding to my emails. I have been dealing with this for 5 months, suffering financial and emotional harm, and AMEX is ignoring clear fraud evidence. Requested Resolution : Reopen the investigation as a fraud case, not a cancellation dispute Reverse the {$46000.00} charge Require AMEX to address the merchants forged documents Assign a compliance officer Stop the rebill until the fraud investigation is complete
