I completed my XXXX recertification online on XXXX. Since my spouse has student debt that must be considered for purposes of properly calculating my monthly XXXX payment, my spouse needs to grant my loan servicer - Nelnet dba Sloan Servicing - access to her student loan data. I called Sloan Servicing twice today to request Sloan Servicing 's six-digit XXXX code to that end. Each time, Sloan Servicing claimed ( via XXXX different representatives and supposedly upon consultation with a supervisor ) that they do not have that code and insisted that I have to get it from the studentaid.gov website. However, the studentaid.gov website explicitly says I have to ask the loan servicer " directly '' for that code. I spoke with studentaid.gov via chat and they reiterated that I have to get the code from Nelnet dba Sloan Servicing and recommended I file this complaint since Sloan is lying/not cooperating. What studentaid.gov is saying is consistent with how I've had to recertify for XXXX over the last XXXX years. I've never had a problem getting the XXXX-digit organization code until Sloan Servicing recently began servicing my loans. I am concerned that Sloan Servicing is purposefully slow walking disclosure of that code in order to manufacture a delay with my XXXX recertification such that they can force me into default or to otherwise pay higher payments, interest, and fees.
