CFPB Attachment Supporting Statement of Facts Statement of Facts and Supporting Information This attachment is being submitted in support of my CFPB complaint regarding inaccurate and unverified information being reported on my consumer credit report. I previously disputed the following accounts with the consumer reporting agencies. The information remains inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable : XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX Despite my dispute, the furnishers and/or consumer reporting agencies have not provided any documentation or evidence that these accounts were fully verified as required under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). FCRA Violations 1. Violation of 15 U.S.C. 1681e ( b ) Consumer reporting agencies must follow reasonable procedures to assure maximum possible accuracy of the information they report. The reporting of these accounts is not accurate, nor have I been shown evidence of proper verification. 2. Violation of 15 U.S.C. 1681i ( a ) When a consumer disputes information, the credit reporting agency must conduct a reasonable reinvestigation and provide the consumer with documentation used to verify the account. I was not provided with any signed contracts, billing statements, proof of ownership, or validation from the furnisher. 3. Violation of 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 ( b ) Furnishers are required to investigate disputes sent to them by the consumer reporting agencies, review all relevant information, and correct or delete inaccurate information. They have not demonstrated that they performed a lawful investigation. Requested Action by CFPB I respectfully request that the CFPB require the credit reporting agencies and furnishers to : 1. Provide complete documentation proving each account belongs to me and is being accurately reported ; 2. Show the actual verification materials used during reinvestigation ; 3. Delete any account that can not be verified with proper documentation ; 4. Ensure full compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
