I have never used Chime. However, i received an email notifying me that {$300.00} was sent from me to someone named XXXX. Since I never made a Chime account, I was puzzled. So I logged into Chime using my email and a password, I figured maybe I had created an account a while ago and just forgot about it or something. Then I noticed that indeed, my email was associated with the account and there was banking and routing information that was not mine. The phone number associated with the account was also not mine. So I called Chime freaking out because I didnt want my personal information to be potentially used in fraudulent activities or scams. After some phone calls with various Chime reps, the closes the account associated with my email. However, they refused to discuss any of the details with me, instead saying appropriate actions will be taken. I work for a law firm. This intentional vagueness is very concerning because the potential of my personal information being out in the ether is very troubling. I have researched other people on XXXX who have corroborated this same thing happening to them with Chime. DO NOT TRUST THESE FOLKS.
