This company never even attempted to try and resolve this debt with me let alone proving that it was mine. It randomly showed up on my report. When I spoke with the agency handling the account the informed me of many mishaps and incorrect information and advised me to dispute this and it would definitely be removed. I let them know I would do so, and I would come back to that call and have it pulled if it wasnt and handle it either way legal team. I want them to thoroughly investigate as ai currently have a fraud alert on my credit file, so Im not even sure how that was opened or when. I want this to stop reporting until this is finished. Under 15 U.S.C. 1681 ( a ) ( 1 ), Congress has found that the banking system relies on fair and accurate credit reporting. Inaccurate reporting directly impairs the systems efficiency and undermines public confidence. Their failure to correct or investigate the disputed information violates these principles and other provisions of the FCRA. Despite my efforts, the inaccurate information remains on my credit report, causing financial harm, increased interest rates increased, and reputational harm. Until I receive the requested documentation, please cease all collection activities related to this disputed debt and mark this account as disputed in your records and in any communications with credit reporting agencies.
