I financed a 2014 XXXX XX/XX/XXXX through Santander Consumer USA after purchasing it from XX/XX/XXXX in XXXX, AL. I paid a down payment, but the dealership did NOT deduct my down payment from the loanthey added it INTO the loan amount. This increased the amount financed without my consent. The vehicle also had an odometer cluster that had been replaced. The actual mileage was not disclosed to me, and the documents say the mileage shown was NOT the actual mileage. I was never given the true odometer reading, and this affected the value of the vehicle. My loan through Santander Consumer USA has a 26.7 % interest rate, which is extremely high and predatory. The loan is structured so that the interest must be paid off BEFORE the principal, and the total interest I am being charged is more than 125 % of the vehicle 's value. There is also an early payoff fee. I believe this is a predatory auto loan and that I was misled by the dealership and the lender. I am requesting a full review of the loan, the improper financing of my down payment, the inaccurate odometer disclosure, and the excessive interest rate.
