On XX/XX/year> I paid my student loan off in full and then cancelled my auto-debt after it was paid off. On XX/XX/year> Nelnet/Sloan still did an ACH withdrawal of {$1000.00} as an auto payment which I had cancelled. I contacted Nelnet/Sloan on XXXX XXXX to ask why they took the payment after I have paid my loan off and cancelled the auto payment. They said they did not take the payment and I needed to work with my bank. I have contacted my back in an effort to recover the {$1000.00}. On XX/XX/year> I received a letter from Nelnet/Sloan stating because I cancelled my auto-payment and the {$1000.00} they previously ACH'ed from my bank was returned ( it has not been returned ) I am behind on my payments and need to make a payment. I called Nelnet/Sloan on XX/XX/year> to ask why I received this letter and was told my loans were paid off and I did not owe a payment. Which is correct, but they could not explain why I was being notified my account was passed due. They could also not explain the XX/XX/year> ACH withdrawal and why they had not returned it. I asked for a letter stating my loans have been paid in full and they will no longer attempt to collect on the debt and was told they would mail something.
