I am filing a complaint against Credit Acceptance Corporation for reinserting a fraudulent account on my XXXX credit report without prior notice, which is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) 611 ( a ) ( 5 ) ( B ). The account in question is : CREDITACPT Account XXXX XXXX This account was previously deleted from my XXXX report and then reinserted without any required notice from either XXXX or Credit Acceptance. This account is not mine, was opened fraudulently, and was included in my Identity Theft Police Report # XXXX. I am a documented victim of identity theft and have already provided this report to XXXX Despite this, Credit Acceptance improperly verified/furnished this account again, causing it to reappear on my credit report. FCRA 605B Identity Theft Blocking Requirements Once notified of identity theft, Credit Acceptance is required to : Stop reporting fraudulent information Provide results of its investigation Provide documentation that verifies the account Credit Acceptance has failed to do this.
