I have a valid settlement agreement with American Express, and I honored almost all the payments. However, Amex failed to debit a mutually agreed {$200.00} payment in XXXX, XXXX despite sufficient funds and proper instruction. Instead of working with me, they sent my account to collections and reported it to credit bureaus. This was a clear servicing error by American Express not a failure on my part. As a result, my credit has been unfairly damaged. I request : 1. Immediate recall of my account from the collection agency. 2. Removal of all negative credit reporting associated with this error. 3. Reprocessing of the missed {$200.00} debit so my settlement can be properly completed, in good standing, as originally agreed. I have attached all supporting documents ( settlement offer, confirmation, bank statements, communications, etc. ).
