Issue : Unauthorized credit inquiry Company : XXXX XXXX ( Used Auto Dealer ) Date of inquiry : XX/XX/year> Credit bureau XXXX TransUnion Issue XXXX The dealership ran a hard credit inquiry without my permission, refused to honor my approved financing with XXXX, and then told me he was not selling me the car at all because he didnt want to pay XXXX lender fee. He tried to force me to use his financing or put down more money than XXXX required. This is deceptive, unfair, and harmful to my credit. What happened : I already had a full approval from XXXX XXXX before I went to the dealership. XXXX approved me with a {$4700.00} down payment, and I had my APR and full loan terms already confirmed. When I got to the dealership, I told the dealer very clearly that I was using my XXXX approval and that I did NOT authorize any credit checks with any other lenders. I did not sign any credit application. The dealer ran a hard inquiry anyway without my consent. After that, he told me I wasnt approved by XXXX not because of my credit, but because he didnt want to pay XXXX lender fee. He admitted he wouldnt make money on the deal if he used my lender. He then tried to force me to put {$4000.00} more down, even though XXXX had already approved me with {$4700.00} down. When I refused to let him change the deal for his profit, he told me he was not selling me the car at all, specifically because he didnt want to use my XXXX approval.
