In XX/XX/year>, I purchased a {$1500.00} three-year home warranty from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX using my Capital One credit card. After completing one service call, the merchant stopped responding to emails, ignored service requests, and falsely claimed to have contacted technicians who were not part of their network. When I disputed the charge, Capital One initially issued a chargeback but later reversed it after the merchants attorney provided misleading documentation showing that one service had been performed. Capital One did not consider the fact that the merchant failed to provide all subsequent services under the same paid contract. I submitted numerous emails, screenshots, and documents proving that the company refused to provide contracted services, but Capital One : Failed to review or acknowledge my submitted evidence, Claimed I missed deadlines I had in fact met, Ignored written confirmation that my case would be extended, and Ultimately sided with the merchant based on incomplete and false information. Requested Resolution : I am requesting that Capital One : Reopen and reinvestigate my dispute under the Fair Credit Billing Act ( 15 U.S.C. 1666 ) ; Restore the {$1500.00} in disputed funds ; and Conduct a full review of the dispute departments handling of my case. This was a clear case of merchant fraud and a failure by Capital One to perform a fair, good-faith investigation.
