Credit Acceptance Corporation is reporting an inflated, inaccurate, and unverified deficiency balance on my credit reports after a voluntary surrender. The company has repeatedly increased the balance ( most recently by {$230.00} ) without providing any legally required documentation or validation of the debt. I requested specific information from the company, including : The original signed retail installment contract Voluntary surrender documents Proof of mailed sale notice Auction sale receipt showing the exact sale price A full itemized breakdown of the deficiency balance Documentation showing how fees and the remaining balance were calculated Verification of the accuracy of the information they are reporting to the credit bureaus They did not provide this information.
