I am financing a manufactured home with [ XXXX XXXX XXXX ]. My last statement on XX/XX/year> showed I was XXXX days past due. On XX/XX/year>, I mailed a payment toward the balance. I never received any notice of default, right to cure, or repossession by mail or certified mail. On XX/XX/year> at night, a recovery agent came to my home with a repossession write-up on his cellphone. This was the first time I saw any repossession document. The form falsely stated that my home was " Vacant. '' The lender then demanded {$4700.00} within a few hours, even though no notice had ever been provided. This is unfair, deceptive, and abusive. I offered to pay {$1800.00} immediately and requested a payment arrangement for the remaining amount. The company refused to provide written notice or a reasonable arrangement. I believe this is an unlawful repossession attempt and a violation of XXXX repossession laws and federal consumer protection laws.
