I was defrauded out of {$1500.00} through the Cash App platform between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/year>. The person, XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Cash App tag : $ XXXX ), impersonated a XXXX XXXX employee and offered to add me and my wife to her employee companion pass list in exchange for payment. After I made the payments, she stopped responding and never provided any proof of the service. I filed a police report with the XXXX Police Department ( XXXX # XXXX ) and submitted all evidence to Cash App, including transaction receipts, messages, and proof of the impersonation. Cash App closed my account during the dispute process and denied my claim without reviewing the police report or attached documentation. I am requesting that the CFPB require Cash App to reopen my claim, review the evidence, and reimburse the {$1500.00} in accordance with the Electronic Fund Transfer Act ( EFTA ) and Regulation E, which require a fair and good-faith investigation of unauthorized or fraudulent transfers. I have also attached our conversation to this thread as well as the fake XXXX XXXX Login info she sent.
