Consumer Narrative

This dispute is being submitted directly by me, XXXX XXXX, the consumer, under my rights afforded by FCRA 611 and 609 ( a ). TransUnion refused to investigate a valid dispute under FCRA 611 by falsely asserting the complaint did not come from me. I am the consumer, and this dispute was personally authorized. Ive provided identification and resubmitted directly to TransUnion. Please note this as a failure to conduct a reasonable reinvestigation. This CFPB complaint has been filed to request pursuant to FCRA 605B ( 15 U.S.C. 1681c-2 ) that you, the TransUnion credit reporting agency , block information appearing on my consumer credit report that is the result of identity theft and fraud within XXXX business days of you receiving this complaint. On or around XX/XX/year>, I discovered accounts appearing on my credit report that I did not open or authorize. These include a negative credit card account showing a balance of approximately {$43000.00} ( XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) a cable bill for {$110.00} ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) and XXXX personal loan accounts ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ). I never applied for or used these accounts. After noticing these items, I immediately filed an FTC Identity Theft Report ( Reference # : XXXX ) and a police report with my local department on XX/XX/year>. I also contacted the credit bureaus and requested fraud alerts to be placed on my file. Despite my disputes, the accounts remain on my credit report. The companies have continued to report them as if they are valid debts. This is causing serious harm to my credit standing and has resulted in at least XXXX credit denial. I am requesting that the companies conduct a full investigation, recognize that these accounts resulted from identity theft, and remove all fraudulent accounts, inquiries, and associated negative information from my credit report in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( 15 U.S.C. 1681c-2 ). I am attaching a bill, my licences, and a photo copy of my social security to prove my valid identity.
